IMDS Engineering
IMDS solves Original Equipment Manufacturers' problems with professional design and practical engineering solutions. Our professional engineering staff is available to work with design teams before specifications are finalized. This creates a seamless transition to prototype models and production parts. Early vendor involvement improves product quality while reducing total project cost and dramatically reduces time to market.
Our engineering group consists of Mastered Degreed engineers to provide our customers with concurrent engineering in the areas of part design, mold design, material selection, injection molding process selection and especially project management. Our engineers track every step of each customer's project using the latest project management software to ensure on-time delivery.
IMDS employs Solid-Works as its computer aided design software and can support all electronic drawing and modeling formats
Expertise
As in any organization, people are what make the venture a success. IMDS is constantly looking to bring in the best people to fulfill their customer’s requirements. Through new hires and continuous training, IMDS has strengthened a proactive group of people working towards a common goal – customer satisfaction. IMDS has also made a concerted effort to bring in the talent needed to successfully run government contracts. All project managers have experience with project sizes over $4 million.
Continual Improvement
Every project is continually monitored throughout the performance of the work and a post-contract analysis is done at the completion of every job. Through these analyses, the performance of every aspect is evaluated and deficiencies can be addressed.
IMDS is currently looking to bring more manufacturing capabilities together under one roof. This year, for example, a CNC turning center with live tooling is to be brought on line to allow for more on site manufacturing of critical parts. There will also be a large investment in computer modeling for manufacturing to leverage the maximum benefit from the production machinery and new CMM equipment to augment the Quality Assurance program.
