Established in 1991, IMDS Defense Systems is a Prime Contractor to the U.S. Army TACOM-RI and Aberdeen Proving Grounds. IMDS has manufactured Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) - the M6 Countermeasure Discharger since 2000.This equipment is supplied to General Dynamics Land Systems for integration into the Interim Brigade Combat Team's newly accepted Armored Vehicle (STRYKER). We are in production of the M6 through 2006.
We have been awarded the production contract for the Light Vehicle Obscuration Smoke System (LVOSS) M310 Installation Kits in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. IMDS manufactures precision engineered products (built to print finished parts) utilizing CNC machine tools.
Our capabilities include providing precision machining (milling and turning), engineering and design and project management services as a Defense Systems Integrator of minor military hardware. We have alliances for Mold making, Cable Assembly, Firing Pins, CARC painting and and electrical/mechanical assembly of military hardware. Bar-Coding and Label services.
