Mr. Robert A. Hill Jr., is President/CEO and owner of Industrial Machining & Design Services, Inc. (IMDS). Mr. Hill was formerly a Plant Superintendent for Kent Worldwide Machine Works of Stow, Ohio and a Machine Shop Manager at Republic Engineered Steel. Mr. Hill founded and incorporated H&G Machine, Inc., in 1991 and Industrial Machining & Design Services, Inc. in 1995.
He has successfully engineered IMDS into a small Prime Defense Contractor. He has positioned the Company as an outstanding 8a, Hubzone and Veteran owned business.
Mr. Hill, a Sociology and Psychology Major at Youngstown State University, recently completed The Small Business Executive Education Program, sponsored by the United States Small Business Administration at the University of Texas At El Paso.
The following are among the many accomplishments of Mr. Hill: In 1989, Mr. Hill received a Distinguished Service Award from LTV Steel Corporation; In 1998, Mr. Hill was nominated and honored by the Youngstown – Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce as “The 1998 Entrepreneur of the Year”; In 2000 Mr. Hill was appointed as a member of Governor Robert F. Taft’s Workforce Development Board and he continues to serve on a number of advisory boards. Mr. Hill served our Nation proudly as a member of The United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966.
