Top management and associates of IMDS are committed to providing customer satisfaction with a focus on a dynamic Quality Management System (QMS) and continuous improvement of systems and processes.
IMDS realizes the importance of personnel at all levels to be fully knowledgeable concerning the established QMS. To accomplish this end, a well-developed training program has been established which include all QMS topics, administrative and manufacturing processes.
Subcontractors & Suppliers
The quality systems of subcontractors and suppliers to IMDS are evaluated as a prerequisite to purchasing. Successful candidates to become suppliers and subcontractors to IMDS are subjected to a written and/or on-site evaluation to assure that they provide a quality product, on time and in the quantity required. Most subcontractors and suppliers are certified to meet ISO 9001, ISO TS16949 and/or QS 9000 Quality Systems. This enables IMDS to provide value-added products and services that consistently meet or exceed customer requirements.
ISO
Top Management has targeted IMDS for ISO 9001:2000 certification in the near future. IMDS has completed the ISO Quality Management Manual and is in the process of completing and validating all written procedures, processes, instructions and records.
IMDS is taking on the challenge to be a leader in the quality circle. As new and improved methods, processes, and equipment become available, IMDS stands ready to meet any and all challenges. IMDS Is exploring the option of becoming QS 9000 certified and will continue to seek new ways to meet future demands.
IMDS considers all sections of the ISO standard to be important and an integral part of the overall Quality Management System; however, special emphasis has been placed on those sections that directly effect product outcome. A solid calibration program meeting ISO 10021, a positive inspection and test operation, material traceability, and corrective and preventive action are among those processes that ensure a superior quality product making IMDS one of the most sensible manufacturing choices available.
Supplier Relationships & Communication
Coordination between IMDS’ project and configuration managers with the suppliers at the beginning of the job sets down exactly how each component is to be supplied and the deliveries are scheduled. The status of each delivery is confirmed a minimum of two weeks in advance, with more frequent verifications as the delivery dates approach. At a minimum, weekly status meetings are held with all the suppliers and the IMDS staff.
All suppliers are responsible for meeting their contractual obligations, and as such, penalties can pass to the supplier responsible for the issue. This arrangement is outlined in each of our subcontractor agreements.
